Room for You

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you". Jn 14:2


Jesus told it before He depart for heaven. So happy to hear someone has prepared a room for us. But in fact, we more often got cantrary to that condition. Even the closest represent "no room for you", so what should we do?

"because there was no room for them in the inn" Luk 2:7


Do you ever thinking about Abraham, how long he wait on God for descent? It's mean, he faced some condition that no room for him. In Gen 12:4, "Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran". And Gen 12:7 God show Himself to Abram,  "The LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land". This the first time Abraham (he was Abram), got promise from God, when He was 75 years old. And In Gen 16:16, "Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore him Ishmael". In Gen 17:1, " When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him". This mean, God did not appeared in 13 years. (99-86 = 13 years). In 13 years Abram just hold the word "To your offspring I will give this land", God did not give any rule, how to living his life until he receive the promise. In Gen 17:25, until Ismael 13 years old, God was not giving His word to Abram. What was Abraham doing in another13 years? maybe more. Again Abram just hold "To your offspring I will give this land".

Indeed, Abraham made a mistake so Ishmael must born. But can you imagine how Abraham be frustated, just like he was looking for room for his way, "is this way right?" or maybe He thought maybe God has told something to Sara about how to get his offspring in the land. When God gives His word, He don't give how to run it, but whoever got it, must gives his/ her trust in God. In their trust, life is go on, they must be a creative one. In a way they must have more knowledge to get the promise of God may be come trough.

 "through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures". Pro 24:4

Sometimes, we hope our closest friend or even family present a room for our fool, our temper, but in obviously there is no room. It is like when Jesus born, there was no room for them. So what should Marry and Joseph doing? Marry was not crying to God, but "She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger", something creative way because she has knowledge so she can filled 'her room' with rare and beautiful treasures.

So did Abraham was doing, he was like doing creative but he was not at all. He had wife, Sara. Abraham should not deviated to Hagar. Indeed there was no written law about marriage. But Abraham and Sara was married when God called Abraham, so they was one. And the promise occured too to Sara. Abaraham missed this and made a mistake. But aniway He did not remain quit.

Sometimes we're doing like Abraham, we did a mistake and the mistake inflict more problem. Therefore we must create our room and fill it with rare and beautiful treasure. Our heart is our responsible to keep not others. Even others cannot see our heart, how can they keep it? Fill our room with beautiful treasure by continuous chasing after knowledge.

God always has room for us, but in this world is not always others give us a room, even from our closest family. We must make the room for our failed, foolished, and frustated by the knowledge and offcourse by the power of God. Chase the knowledge, and be smart!
